How we work
From problem to working solution.
Every project starts by understanding the business and the problem before deciding what should be built.
The six stages
Stage 1 of 6: Understand
We start with the business and the problem, not the technology.
You provide
How things work today, what customers struggle with, and what you want to improve.
We do
Look at the business, the current process, and what is slow, manual or painful.
You get
A clear problem statement and the outcome you want.
Stage 2 of 6: Design
We turn the problem into the right solution and a build plan.
You provide
Feedback on the plan, and decisions on priorities.
We do
Sketch how people will move through the product and how its parts connect, then agree the scope.
You get
A clear solution and a scoped build plan.
Stage 3 of 6: Build
Built in checkpoints, so you see progress as it happens.
You provide
Review each checkpoint and tell us what to change.
We do
Build the main experience first, then the remaining pages, features and any integrations the project needs, checking responsive behaviour as we go.
You get
A working product, ready for testing.
Stage 4 of 6: Test
We check it the way people will actually use it.
You provide
Try the key workflows and tell us what feels wrong.
We do
Check links, forms, navigation, error messages and mobile use. Where the project includes accounts or speed targets, we check those too. We fix the issues we agree are in scope.
You get
A tested version, ready to launch.
Stage 5 of 6: Launch
We move the approved solution into real use.
You provide
Domain access, content and staff details, where they are needed.
We do
Deploy and configure the solution, run final checks, and hand over. The exact steps depend on the project.
You get
A live, working solution.
Stage 6 of 6: Measure & Improve
Launch is a start, not the end of the work.
You provide
Feedback from customers and staff, and the results you see in the business.
We do
Review feedback and problems found in real use, plus usage data where analytics are in place, and suggest what to improve.
You get
A short review and a prioritised list of changes, agreed with you.
Further improvements are scoped as new work and agreed with you before we start.
Built in checkpoints
You see progress during the project, not only at the end.

- Continue
Repeats for each feature or stage of the build.
Who does what
What we need from you
- Clear information about the business
- Feedback at the agreed checkpoints
- Access and content, when they are needed
- Decisions and approvals, when they come up
What we handle
- Planning
- Structuring the solution
- Building
- Technical implementation
- Testing
- Deployment support
You don't need to manage the technical work. We'll tell you at each checkpoint what we need from you.
Our principle
Every feature needs a reason.
Features connect to the business problem or the customer experience. We don't add technology because it sounds impressive.
Next step
